Hello Sacred Souls.
For this week’s blog post, I had every intention of writing about the Full Moon, but this morning, I saw a horrific sight… NOTRE DAME IS ENGULFED IN FLAMES!!
How many of you have heard? This building is hundreds of years old and one of the most beautiful buildings in the entire world. It will survive, but it will never be the same.
This significant event in our history has got me thinking about the energy that’s swirling around right now. Everyone I’ve encountered over the past few weeks has been anxious, stressed, and even flat out angry in some cases. This is typical for an Aries season with it being a fire sign, but this year seems more stressful than usual. The world appears to be set on fire, and the burning of Notre Dame is a manifestation of the energy we are feeling at the moment.
Fire has its uses and can be incredibly powerful and positive when managed correctly. But when allowed to burn out of control, Fire becomes chaotic, destructive, and all around dangerous. It becomes all-consuming, and if left to burn for too long, it can seem impossible to overcome.
So what do you do when there’s too much fire energy in your aura? How do you handle the outburst of flames in your energy field?
Balance your fire with water. What’s the first thing you do when you’re faced with a fire? You throw water on it of course. The same thing happens when it comes to an overabundance of fire in your energy.
Fortunately, we only have a few more days before Aries moves out, but the worst parts usually occur right at the end. Check in with your fire energy over the next few days and take time to intentionally work with the water element to keep your spiritual flames in check. Five Ways to Balance Fire Energy
This is a great practice to do after an argument, or anytime you feel overly anxious. This act of cooling and calming will help to release and dampen fire energy or at the very least, slow it down so that it doesn’t burn as intensely.
All blue crystals have calming energy, but the light blue hues are especially ideal for intense emotional outbursts. That’s because they are associated with the throat chakra; the center of how we express our thoughts and emotions out into the world.
Try a gemstone like Amazonite for managing trauma and stress. Turquoise is a favorite among ancient shamans and healers for its ability to calm mood swings and to encourage serenity. Or try my personal favorite, Celestite. It clears feelings of panic, stress, and overwhelm and replaces it with calming, divine energy. Just be sure to cleanse your crystal first before working with it.
Drinking water should be a daily routine as it helps nearly every medical condition you can think of. The same can be said from a spiritual perspective. It’s one thing to feel water on your body, but the experience of it going through your body is one of the easiest and most profound ways to dampen fire energy.
When drinking water, make it a mini ritual by taking time to intentionally feel its energy. Hold it in your mouth for a few moments before swallowing. As it’s going down your throat, allow yourself to feel the coolness of it going down into your belly. Feel the sensations it gives you and try to imagine it’s energy spreading all over your body. Then repeat this process with each sip. Do this for at least five minutes then repeat as necessary.
Work with the earth.
The last tip has nothing to do with water at all but the earth. Some fires are actually made worse with water. In those cases, one must use soil to fight the flames. My favorite way to work with earth energy is to garden.
Feeling the soil in your hands, smelling it, having it on your knees, all of that is a fantastic way to calm and ground your energy when dealing with intense emotions or especially overwhelming situations.
You may even lay down in a field of flowers or grass for a few moments to let mother earth embrace in her healing powers. We’ll be moving right into Taurus as soon as Aries is over so working with the earth element is a beautiful way to welcome in the Taurus season.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a course?
